Hello Elena!! I have just discovered your website and really enjoyed it. I love the way you write, it brings a chuckle to my morning. I recently moved to Oregon from New Jersey and I enjoyed reading about “sitting in traffic until your head explodes” , that was too funny!!! I also miss the Spanish restaurants in Newark and NYC, my favorite dish was always paella!!! Unfortunately, there are no Spanish restaurants out here in “Cowboy Land” and I was hoping you could help me try to make my own Paella. I have been an amateur cook for several years and would love to try and at least come close to making a traditional dish. If you could help me with the technique and recipe, I would very much appreciate it. Thanks for the website and take care, Patty
Patty your comment makes me really happy!! Thanks for reading. Yum paella is one of my favorite dishes. The good news is that my dad makes a delicious paella and I’ve helped and watched him make it my whole life. I learned from him however he never really uses an exact recipe (like many cooks he goes by taste and his eye), but I promise I will try to get one together. I will also be posting more Spanish dishes
Thanks again Patty!
Zdravei (Hallo in Bulgarian)!
I came across your website accidentally looking for a nice pic of tortilla which I wanted to share with a friend of mine. It is very interesting – stories you share with us, recipes you know and cook, etc. I am a great fan of cooking too. Dishes with red peppers are one of my favourate, that is why I think you might be interested to learn some starters we make in my country (Bulgaria) incl. red peppers.
Hope to read from you soon!
Hi Nelly! I love red peppers too and basically put them in every meal. I don’t know many Bulgarian dishes but I’d love to learn more. Thanks for your message and I hope you keep reading!
